Hearing Evaluation
We first begin by obtaining a detailed case history, including information about the patient’s medical background, noise exposure, and perceived hearing difficulties.
Pure-tone audiometry is then performed by using calibrated equipment, presenting tones at various frequencies and intensities to identify the softest sounds the patient can hear. The specialist provides clear instructions, monitors responses, and ensures accurate test results.
After testing, the results are recorded on an audiogram and interpreted to determine the type and degree of hearing loss. The specialist then explains the findings to the patient and discusses potential treatment options, such as hearing aids or further medical referral if needed.
